One thing that bothers you is when family or friends decide to share your business as the main topic of their conversation. You all are sitting around just chit- chatting. The topic of gas prices and how far you can go these days is the focus of conversation when someone makes mention of the fact that you drive a brand “new ride.” Someone else chimes in and wants to know how you can afford a car like that on your salary. One thing leads to another and before you know it, all of your business is now up for discussion.
Question:
When you find yourself to be the topic of discussion how do you combat criticism? How do you shift the spotlight off of you?
