One thing that bothers you is when family or friends decide to share your business as the main topic of their conversation. You all are sitting around just chit- chatting. The topic of gas prices and how far you can go these days is the focus of conversation when someone makes mention of the fact that you drive a brand “new ride.” Someone else chimes in and wants to know how you can afford a car like that on your salary. One thing leads to another and before you know it, all of your business is now up for discussion.

    Question:
When you find yourself to be the topic of discussion how do you combat criticism? How do you shift the spotlight off of you?

Puttin' You on Blast Empty Is my life really this interesting?

I would first not let it show that it bothered me that my friends or family was so concerned how I buy what I buy or how I make or spend my money. I feel as if I do they have won from the get go. I would first acted surprised and quite pleased that they could not find anything else more amusing than me and my life or money issues. Then I would tell them that threw God all things are possible! and let them know that I do not have to explain or justify myself to anyone, and that if they were to give it to God they would not worry about it so, and would have all they need and want as well! Then direct the attention to my children and their latest achievements, or even mine or my husbands. I would make it a positive thing. If they wish to talk about me, thats fine but lets focus on the positives and what I am grateful for! And by doing this I have won!
    Holla cheers
